Transportaiton Project Engineer
Our client, a locally based civil engineering firm, is seeking a Project Engineer to support their growing portfolio of transportation, public works, and land development projects across Utah. This is a great opportunity for a motivated engineer looking to take on meaningful work within a collaborative and dynamic team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects
Support Project Managers in technical and administrative project tasks
Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for civil infrastructure projects
Perform design work using industry-standard software (OpenRoads experience preferred)
Coordinate with internal teams, subconsultants, and public agencies
Conduct site visits and inspections as needed
Ensure projects meet technical standards and regulatory requirements
Maintain detailed documentation and support QA/QC efforts
Preferred Qualifications:
B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field
5-10 years of relevant civil engineering experience
EIT required; PE license preferred or in progress
Proficiency in OpenRoads Designer or similar civil design software
Strong understanding of Utah DOT and municipal public works standards
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
