Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Building Automation Estimator with over 5 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating costs for building automation projects, ensuring competitive and profitable bids.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for building automation systems, including materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Bid Preparation: Develop and submit competitive bids for new projects, ensuring all specifications and requirements are met.
  • Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Technical Review: Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to understand project requirements and provide technical support during the bidding process.
  • Cost Analysis: Perform cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project costs and improve profitability.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of estimates, bids, and project costs for future reference and analysis.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate and timely estimates.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in building automation estimation or a related field.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of building automation systems, including HVAC, lighting, and energy management.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Organization: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
