Senior Building Automation Estimator
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Building Automation Estimator with over 5 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating costs for building automation projects, ensuring competitive and profitable bids.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for building automation systems, including materials, labor, and equipment.
- Bid Preparation: Develop and submit competitive bids for new projects, ensuring all specifications and requirements are met.
- Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Technical Review: Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates.
- Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to understand project requirements and provide technical support during the bidding process.
- Cost Analysis: Perform cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project costs and improve profitability.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of estimates, bids, and project costs for future reference and analysis.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate and timely estimates.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in building automation estimation or a related field.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of building automation systems, including HVAC, lighting, and energy management.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients, vendors, and team members.
