Job Description

Position: Structural Engineering Project Manager

This role offers the opportunity to enhance one's career by leading and managing a variety of building projects. The Structural Engineering Project Manager will oversee business development, client management, project management, and structural design.

Responsibilities

  • Lead business development efforts for structural building projects
  • Develop and manage a portfolio of clients
  • Serve as project manager on structural building projects and manage project budgets
  • Perform and lead the structural design of various building projects, including development of design documents, calculations, and specifications
  • Manage Project Engineers and BIM specialists
  • Perform quality control and construction administration duties
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution (required)
  • Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (preferred)
  • Over seven years of experience in structural design, including various building systems and materials
  • Professional Engineer Licensure (required); preference for Illinois Structural Engineer Licensure (SE)
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as RISA 3D and RAM Structural System
  • Experience with Revit (a plus)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Relevant work experience in the U.S.
