Role Description: Façade Engineer / Project Manager
We're seeking an experienced Façade Engineer / Project Manager who is equally confident in design coordination and on-site supervision. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who understands façade systems deeply and knows what it takes to bring them to life on a construction site.
You will be responsible for leading the engineering, detailing, and execution of façade packages on a variety of project types. You'll coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and suppliers, and will be on-site to supervise installation activities, troubleshoot field issues, and ensure design intent is delivered with quality and precision.
Your day-to-day will include:
Managing façade system design, documentation, and technical review
Overseeing site activities during façade installation, ensuring compliance with specs and timelines
Collaborating closely with fabricators, contractors, and internal design teams
Leading progress meetings and being the go-to technical lead for façade-related concerns
Providing insight on constructability, materials, performance, and logistics early in the design phase
Requirements:
5+ years of façade engineering or building envelope consulting experience
Strong background in façade system design, detailing, and performance evaluation
Proven experience on-site, including supervising installation and contractor coordination
Degree in Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (Master's preferred)
Familiarity with NYC construction practices and building code
Excellent communication and leadership skills
PE license or working toward licensure is a plus
