Electrical Engineer II

A leading company is seeking an experienced Electrical Field and Design Engineer for career growth and new opportunities. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team. This role involves assessing and designing electrical power systems ranging from 480V to 15kV, with periodic travel across the United States (up to 25%).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collect and utilize field data
  • Perform and complete low voltage design work
  • Participate in field work as necessary
  • Understand project scopes and schedules
  • SKM modeling and validation
  • Drawing and submittal compilation
  • Provide submittal review support
  • AHJ and code research
  • Coordinate RFIs between Engineering and Project teams
  • Participate in project plan development

Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of NEC and other NFPA standards
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Microstation, and/or other technical CAD packages
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact in a team environment
  • Ideally looking for candidates with prior project experience within the Utilities and/or Healthcare space.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated engineer comfortable in the field or at a computer
  • Leadership skills and a strong work ethic

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
  • 3+ years of recent and relevant experience in the low voltage design field
