Design Engineer Position
Location: Washington, DC
Salary: Up to $120,000 per year
Focus: Ground Improvement Projects
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Design: Develop and implement design solutions for ground improvement projects, including deep dynamic compaction, jet grouting, and soil mixing techniques
- Technical Analysis: Conduct geotechnical and structural analysis to ensure project feasibility and stability
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met
- Documentation: Prepare detailed design documents, reports, and specifications for ground improvement projects
- Quality Control: Monitor and evaluate the quality of ground improvement techniques and materials used in projects
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in design engineering, with a focus on ground improvement projects
- Skills: Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, GeoStudio), strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and teamwork abilities
