Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage the construction of water treatment and wastewater treatment facilities in Ohio. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with a focus on water and wastewater infrastructure. You will be responsible for the successful execution of construction projects from start to finish, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of the construction site, ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with the project specifications, timelines, and safety standards.

  • Manage the construction of water treatment and wastewater systems, ensuring that all phases of construction are completed on time and within budget.

  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project goals and objectives are met.

  • Monitor and enforce compliance with local, state, and federal construction codes and regulations.

  • Review and approve project schedules, budgets, and work plans.

  • Oversee subcontractor activities, ensuring they are performing as required and resolving any issues or conflicts that arise on site.

  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure the quality and accuracy of work, making adjustments as necessary to maintain project progress.

  • Maintain accurate and timely records of daily activities, including any issues, delays, or changes to the project scope.

  • Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are adhered to on the job site, creating a safe work environment for all employees and contractors.

  • Participate in progress meetings and provide updates to management and stakeholders on the project's status.

  • Mentor and train junior staff, providing guidance on best practices, safety procedures, and quality control measures.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent, with a preference for candidates with experience in water treatment and wastewater systems.

  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal requirements.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage subcontractors, vendors, and project teams.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.

  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and OSHA standards.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in water treatment and wastewater treatment facility construction.

  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and compliance requirements in Ohio.

  • Professional certifications such as LEED, OSHA certifications, or PMP are a plus.
