Survey Crew Chief
Our top regional client is seeking a skilled Survey Crew Chief to join their expanding Land Survey Services team at their Madison, WI location.
Key Duties:
- Manage surveying projects and collaborate effectively with the project team and construction contractors.
- Lead and execute field operations, ensuring equipment maintenance and scheduling tasks.
- Conduct right-of-way, design, and construction surveys for municipal, highway, and roadway projects.
- Work independently or as part of a two-person survey crew.
Desired Qualifications:
- A two-year degree in civil technology is preferred.
- At least five years of experience in construction surveying, topographic and boundary surveys, and right-of-way projects.
- Proficiency with Trimble GPS and Robotics systems.
- Strong ability to work well in a team environment.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand or walk for long durations, and work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
- A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to perform civil engineering technician tasks and CADD work when not engaged in survey duties.
Compensation: $80,000 - $115,000 annually
