Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members during project discussions, analysis, and problem-solving activities.
  • Drive teams towards the successful completion of projects.
  • Maintain consistent and professional communication with the PIC and the broader design team to ensure effective coordination, client interactions, and resource management.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet utilization targets.
  • Organize and maintain comprehensive project documentation and communication records.
  • Schedule and conduct thorough quality control reviews.
  • Develop and implement standards in collaboration.
  • Draft and prepare detailed client proposals.
  • Support client development initiatives.
  • Offer coaching and guidance to teams on problem-solving, analytical techniques, and project deliverables.
  • Oversee the progress of learning modules and professional development programs.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with architects and other engineers to develop innovative structural solutions.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in structural engineering.
  • Participate in sustainability initiatives and integrate eco-friendly practices into project designs.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Expertise in technical detailing across various building materials, including mass timber
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Leadership and business development experience with a focus on personal and professional growth
  • California P.E. license required
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit is highly recommended
