Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and mentorship to team members during project discussions, analysis, and problem-solving activities.
- Drive teams towards the successful completion of projects.
- Maintain consistent and professional communication with the PIC and the broader design team to ensure effective coordination, client interactions, and resource management.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet utilization targets.
- Organize and maintain comprehensive project documentation and communication records.
- Schedule and conduct thorough quality control reviews.
- Develop and implement standards in collaboration.
- Draft and prepare detailed client proposals.
- Support client development initiatives.
- Offer coaching and guidance to teams on problem-solving, analytical techniques, and project deliverables.
- Oversee the progress of learning modules and professional development programs.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
- Collaborate with architects and other engineers to develop innovative structural solutions.
- Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in structural engineering.
- Participate in sustainability initiatives and integrate eco-friendly practices into project designs.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of relevant experience
- Expertise in technical detailing across various building materials, including mass timber
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Leadership and business development experience with a focus on personal and professional growth
- California P.E. license required
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit is highly recommended
