Compensation: $150,000-$180,000+ (based on experience) + overtime pay + bonus + benefits
My client, a well-established MEP engineering firm with a 125+ year legacy in the Mid-Atlantic region, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team in the Baltimore area. The Role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a lead technical and project management role on a wide range of building projects. You'll collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, mentor junior staff, and help guide the mechanical discipline forward through both innovative design and strong leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Lead mechanical system design (HVAC, hydronic, ventilation, etc.) for a wide range of building types
Coordinate with architects, other MEP disciplines, and external stakeholders
Oversee technical documentation, design calculations, and quality control
Attend client meetings and contribute to project planning and proposal efforts
Mentor and support the development of junior and mid-level engineers
Stay up to date on energy codes, sustainability standards, and emerging technologies
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
PE license required
10+ years of experience in MEP building systems design
Proven ability to lead projects and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams
Strong technical skills and proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and HVAC design software
Solid understanding of applicable building codes and industry standards
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with civic, higher education, or healthcare facilities
LEED accreditation or strong familiarity with energy-efficient system design
Existing client relationships in the Mid-Atlantic market
