Electrical Engineering Manager

Location: Meriden, CT; Atlanta, GA; Long Island, Williamsville, Rochester, Syracuse, and Albany, NY; Columbus, OH; Washington, D.C.; Richmond, VA; Eau Claire, WI

Overview: LVI Associates is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager. This role focuses on four key areas: managerial leadership, technical leadership, quality assurance, and business development.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead multi-discipline facility projects and innovative clean energy initiatives.
  • Develop proposals, oversee projects, conduct quality reviews, seal documents, mentor teams, recruit and hire staff, and expand LVI Associates' presence.
  • Guide project teams, mentor engineers, and professionals, and support career growth and firm ownership opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment with support from industry-leading professionals.

Expertise Required:

  • Proficiency in all aspects of electrical engineering, including medium and low voltage power distribution systems, lighting automation, life safety, and specialty systems.
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code, NFPA, and state-level building code requirements.
  • Ability to review, analyze, assess, and recommend improvements for electrical systems.
  • Coordination with leaders and managers on company initiatives and project commitments.
  • Support business development focused on electrical engineering.
  • Recruit and grow the electrical engineering team.
  • Conduct preliminary assessments and develop high-level project strategies.
  • Perform field investigations and condition assessments of existing systems.
  • Assist in proposal preparation and develop basis of design scopes of work and schematics.
  • Present and write reports.
  • Make independent evaluations and decisions in the best interests of clients, projects, and teams.
  • Meet with clients to support engineering projects throughout design and construction.
  • Review work performed by others, correct, teach, and mentor to build technical skillsets.
  • Lead teams collaboratively, focusing on group success.
  • Serve as "Engineer-of-Record" and professionally sign and seal construction documents.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • PE license required.
  • Expertise in multiple technical areas of electrical engineering.
  • Responsible for QA/QC on assigned tasks and projects.
  • Ability to lead the development of construction documents and support bidding and construction activities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal staff and clients.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software.
  • Experience with AutoCAD/Revit software is a plus.
  • Experience with building modeling and/or electrical power system software is a plus.
  • Team player.

Salary Range: $125,000 - $175,000

LVI Associates is committed to providing fair, competitive, and market-informed compensation. Salary offered will be determined based on the successful candidate's relevant education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, with consideration for regional adjustment factors.
