Controls Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
Control System Design & Implementation:
Design and develop control systems for automated processes, including motion control systems, servos, and PLC-based equipment.
Utilize Autocad for creating electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts.
Develop and maintain system configurations and documentation for automated systems.
PLC Programming & Troubleshooting:
Program and configure PLCs ( Allen-Bradley, or similar) to control machinery, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
Troubleshoot PLCs, sensors, actuators, and other components to ensure proper system functionality.
Support ongoing operations with PLC system modifications and improvements.
Motion Control & Servo Integration:
Implement motion control systems, including servo motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and related control strategies for precise movement and automation.
Program and tune servo drives, ensuring optimal performance for motion systems.
Integrate motion controllers with PLCs and other control devices to create seamless automated processes.
System Commissioning & Testing:
Conduct system testing, diagnostics, and commissioning of automated equipment to verify proper installation and functionality.
Perform in-depth troubleshooting and resolve complex electrical, software, or mechanical issues.
Collaboration & Support:
Work closely with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and production teams to ensure system designs meet operational requirements.
Provide technical support to maintenance and operations teams during system startup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
