Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating commercial construction projects, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, architects, and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to accurately determine project scope and requirements.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to develop accurate and competitive bids.
Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
Maintain and update cost databases and estimating software.
Monitor project budgets and provide regular updates to project managers and clients.
Assist in the preparation of project proposals and presentations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, PlanSwift).
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
