Building Automation Technician
As part of our growth strategy, HVAC Building Controls Service Technicians are responsible for performing preventative maintenance, repairs, installations, and general servicing of environmental-control systems. They ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through direct, onsite interactions and customer engagement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Service various types of HVAC controls equipment
- Propose, plan, organize, and manage small service jobs
- Develop and monitor schedules, costs, and contractual commitments for assigned service jobs
- Assist with equipment selection and ordering
- Provide engineering support for projects as needed
- Complete project programming and system checkout as required
- Conduct installation and service work as workload dictates
- Utilize energy-saving programming tools effectively
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Be self-motivated, goal-oriented, customer-focused, and efficient in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain high standards of quality with attention to detail
- Work effectively with customers and maintain a high level of communication
Qualifications
Required Education/Certification/Licences:
- Minimum of two (2) years of controls experience and five (5) years of HVAC-related experience
- Valid Driver's License
- Valid OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Card
Desired Experience:
- Knowledge of Temperature Control Systems including Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Alerton, Trane, and Siemens
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Tridium AX certification, Niagra N4 certification highly preferred, and Microsoft Office products (Excel, Visio, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
