Job Description: Project Manager - Healthcare Construction

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
Salary: $115,000 - $130,000 per year
Office Environment: Small Team, In-Office Four Days a Week

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager with a strong background in healthcare construction to join our growing team. This role requires someone who is self-sufficient, capable of managing projects from start to finish, and has a proven ability to handle client relationships with a high level of professionalism. The ideal candidate will have a background in healthcare projects, possess strong project management skills, and be able to oversee multiple projects with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Manage healthcare construction projects independently, including overseeing construction administration and ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards.

  • Quality Control: Perform quality control reviews and direct staff and consultants to meet project standards.

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key healthcare clients

  • Construction Oversight: Travel to construction sites to monitor project progress and provide guidance to on-site teams.

  • Team Leadership: Manage small teams and collaborate with internal staff and consultants to drive successful project outcomes.

  • Business Development (a plus): Contribute to the growth of the firm by identifying new business opportunities within the healthcare sector. This may include recognizing opportunities to expand services and bringing in new clients.

Required Qualifications:

  • Licensing: Must be a licensed professional

  • Experience: At least 10 years of experience in the industry, with a minimum of 5 years of healthcare-related experience

  • Project Management: A minimum of 2 years of direct project management experience. Prior experience with higher-level coordination will not suffice; managing projects directly is essential.

  • Self-Sufficiency: Ability to run projects independently, with minimal input from senior principles, including the ability to handle construction administration and site visits without the need for supervision or a ride.

  • Team Management: Proven ability to manage and lead small teams effectively in a collaborative office environment.

  • Flexibility: Must be open to working outside of regular business hours to meet client needs.

Desired Skills & Attributes:

  • Experience in Small Office Environments: Ability to adapt to a small office setting and work efficiently with a small team.

  • Business Development: Experience in identifying new business opportunities, particularly in the healthcare sector, is highly valued. A strong network of contacts in the healthcare industry is a plus.

  • Positive Attitude & Work Ethic: A proactive, self-starter who is excited about contributing to the success and growth of the firm.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in industry-related software and tools, with a focus on effective project management.

Additional Information:

  • This position requires in-person work at the office at least four days per week. We understand the value of a flexible schedule, but as a manager, being present and engaged in the office is critical to success.

  • Candidates must be willing to occasionally visit construction sites for project oversight (local travel required, no out-of-state flights).

  • The company promotes a collaborative, supportive environment, and we are looking for someone who will embrace this culture.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of $115,000 - $130,000
