Position: Structural Office Leader
Position Overview: As the Structural Office Leader for their Louisville office, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing their structural engineering team. You will be responsible for overseeing project execution, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency, and driving business development initiatives. This position requires a dynamic leader with a strong technical background and excellent management skills.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the structural engineering team, providing guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Oversee the planning, design, and execution of structural engineering projects from inception to completion.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for project-related matters.
- Collaborate with other departments and disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Prepare and review engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and compliance with design specifications.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, contributing to the growth and success of the Louisville office.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
Education and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong technical knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
