Job Description:

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Automation Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and implementing building automation systems, with a focus on HVAC, lighting, security, and energy management. This role requires a deep understanding of industry standards, advanced technical skills, and the ability to lead projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Create detailed designs for building automation systems, including HVAC, lighting, security, and energy management.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage automation projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and quality standards.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team, ensuring the implementation of best practices and innovative solutions.
  • System Integration: Oversee the integration of various building systems to ensure seamless operation and interoperability.
  • Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Documentation: Prepare comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, project plans, and user manuals.
  • Compliance: Ensure all designs and implementations comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to building automation systems.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in building automation design and implementation.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software, PLC programming, and knowledge of HVAC, lighting, security, and energy management systems.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as LEED, PMP, or CEM are preferred.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead projects independently.
