Key Responsibilities:
As an I&C Programmer, your day-to-day tasks will include:
Programming PLC control systems, SCADA systems, and Human Machine Interface (HMI) software for effective design and implementation of instrumentation and control systems, specifically for water and wastewater projects.
Reviewing project specifications and drawings, writing control system descriptions, and overseeing start-up and commissioning activities with minimal oversight.
Implementing communication systems, such as Ethernet-based local area networks and wireless radio systems.
Preparing material take-offs from instrument drawings.
Collaborating closely with the Project Manager, Project Team, and clients to provide and implement solutions.
What You Need to Succeed:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in I&C programming.
Proficiency in troubleshooting operational issues.
Experience reading and interpreting I&C drawings (including loops, cabinet layouts/wiring) and P&ID diagrams.
Hands-on experience with PLC and HMI programming, including Rockwell PLCs and VTScada software (preferred).
Familiarity with system networking and communication protocols.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and handle the varying demands from project managers, contractors, and regulators.
Precision and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy throughout project delivery.
A valid driver's license and a clean driving and criminal record.
