Heavy Civil Superintendent

A reputable Heavy Civil Contractor who's been in business for 50+ years is currently seeking a Superintendent for upcoming excavation and pipeline/utility projects around Salt Lake City and Provo, Utah. The ideal candidate will have at least 5+ years as Superintendent along with extensive excavation and utility experience.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 (Based on experience)

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates an understanding of proper equipment and shoring procedures
  • Organize, schedule, and layout underground utility crews
  • Manage subcontractors
  • Maintain project budget, including profit/loss reports and weekly cost review; makes adjustments as necessary
  • Educate personnel and enforce company safety policies and procedures
  • Record a daily diary of work completed, site conditions, materials, etc.
  • Receives daily production reports for the Foremen and verifies accuracy of reports
  • Represent the company when interacting with customers and residents, maintaining calmness under stress and handling complaints with respect
  • Any additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must have valid state driver's license or government issued ID
  • Must be legally qualified to work in the U.S. with appropriate documentation
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required or 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent understanding of the civil engineering industry with related experience
  • Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions
  • Ability to be an effective leader, detail-oriented, and a self-starter
