Position Overview: Director of Business Development

The Director of Business Development will play a key leadership role in driving sales strategy, forging customer relationships, and expanding the project pipeline. This individual will work closely with senior leadership and business units to align efforts with the company's long-term vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy: Contribute to the development and execution of strategic sales plans aligned with business goals.

  • Client Engagement: Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key customers to drive business growth.

  • Networking & Outreach: Actively engage in industry events and networking opportunities to identify and pursue new business leads.

  • Promotion & Representation: Represent the company at conferences, customer meetings, and industry events.

  • Customer Satisfaction: Act as a liaison during early project phases to ensure smooth communication and escalate concerns as needed.

  • Market Insight: Analyze market data and competitor activity to inform strategy and provide recommendations to leadership.

  • CRM & Reporting: Utilize Microsoft Dynamics to manage and report on pipeline activity and overall sales performance.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience.

  • 10+ years of experience in business development within power delivery, energy infrastructure, or utilities.

  • Strong understanding of substations, switchyards, transmission lines, and related equipment.

  • Well-established network within the power delivery space.

  • Proven ability to develop customer relationships, negotiate effectively, and close deals.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics or similar CRM platforms.

  • Skilled communicator with the ability to engage everyone from field teams to executive leadership.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $180,000 - $200,000 (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
