Summary
A leading company in the water treatment industry is currently seeking a personable and hungry Business Development Manager to prospect new business in the Missouri and Kansas area. This role involves identifying new leads as well as creating and maintaining new relationships. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales, hunting, and being customer facing.
Responsibilities
- Prospecting new business from cold relationships
- Putting out surveys in large facilities
- Getting on preferred vendor lists
- Cold calling
- Conducting educational meetings and other initial contact with new customers, and handing off this warm relationship to technical sales/service personnel.
Key Qualifications
- Sales personality; personable, warm and inviting demeanor
- Drive to build new business
- Adaptable nature
- Understanding of water treatment chemicals or services is preferred but not required
