Senior Mechanical Engineer
Location: Newark, DE OR Philadelphia PA
Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and forward-thinking Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team in Newark, Delaware. In this strategic role, you will contribute directly to the design and delivery of innovative engineering solutions while helping shape the future of our company. Prior experience in a consulting engineering firm is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Expertise:
Develop project basic data and foundational engineering inputs.
Work directly with clients to define, confirm, and refine project scopes of work.
Perform field surveys to gather critical project information.
Execute detailed engineering calculations and technical analyses.
Interpret and apply applicable codes and standards to project designs.
Create conceptual designs and transition them into detailed construction documents.
Prepare construction drawings and project specifications.
Provide technical support during construction, including addressing field issues and RFIs.
Communicate effectively with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Project & Customer Leadership:
Manage project deliverables and oversee discipline-specific activities to ensure quality and timeliness.
Lead coordination of design resources, ensuring seamless collaboration across disciplines.
Serve as a technical mentor for junior engineers and project team members.
Maintain strong client relationships and uphold excellent customer service standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (required).
Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred or ability to obtain).
6+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, building systems, and applicable codes.
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused consulting environment.
