The Role: Project Management - Building Envelope (New Construction)
In this role, you'll serve as a Project Manager on new construction building envelope projects, with full visibility and involvement across all project phases-from design reviews to construction administration and site visits. You'll manage client relationships, coordinate internal technical teams, and ensure deliverables meet both quality and schedule expectations.
While your primary focus will be new construction, you may occasionally support ongoing façade restoration efforts, offering variety and exposure across project types.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee building envelope scopes on new construction projects (facades, roofs, waterproofing, air/vapor barriers, etc.)
Coordinate with architects, contractors, and owners through design development, detailing, bidding, and construction.
Review shop drawings, submittals, and technical documentation.
Conduct field visits and site inspections during construction.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
Support restoration project teams as needed, depending on workload and expertise.
Role Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience in building envelope consulting or design, focused on new construction.
Strong understanding of envelope systems, including curtain walls, rainscreens, roofing systems, and waterproofing assemblies.
Proven experience in project management, client coordination, and construction-phase services.
Technical writing proficiency for reports, assessments, and documentation.
Professional degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field; PE, RA, or other relevant licensure a plus.
Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced consultancy with a balance of office and field work.
