Senior Controls Engineer
Responsibilities:
Develop system designs from initial concepts, focusing on electrical and control components based on specific project requirements.
Utilize drafting software for design creation, with AutoCAD being preferred.
Contribute to system integration efforts, including modifications to align with other project disciplines.
Collaborate with facility design teams to optimize panel placement, reduce voltage drop, and enhance hardware layout efficiency.
Oversee vendor scope to ensure safety, functionality, and adherence to all contractual obligations.
Ensure designs meet local, government, and client codes and standards.
Requirements:
Strong organizational skills and technical proficiency.
Effective written and oral communication abilities.
Experience collaborating within multi-disciplinary teams, including engineers, designers, and drafters.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
Equivalent degrees in other fields may be acceptable if directly related to electrical engineering (non-electrical/controls disciplines excluded).
Experience:
Over 10 years of relevant experience covering key responsibilities.
Familiarity with ASTM standards, the attractions industry, and safety engineering is preferred.
Core Competencies:
Understanding of contract documentation and specifications.
Ability to collect and document field data accurately.
Capability to perform system design tasks.
Expertise in planning, prioritization, and problem-solving.
Customer-focused mindset and aptitude for timely decision-making.
Technical Knowledge:
Hands-on experience with major industrial hardware/software (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.).
Proficiency with ethernet-based distributed remote I/O systems.
Skills:
Adept at using Microsoft Windows and Office tools.
Travel Requirements:
Willingness to travel up to 30% during certain projects, with less frequent travel expected in later project stages.
