Electrical Controls Engineer
Location: Atlanta, GA (10-15% travel)
Role Overview: Seeking a senior Electrical Controls Engineer to provide expertise in project design, commissioning, and start-up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply engineering principles to process and packaging systems.
- Manage electrical controls projects, including design, programming, documentation, and start-up support.
- Develop/upgrade PLC and HMI systems, create electrical schematics, and design control panels.
- Ensure timely project delivery with a focus on accuracy and safety.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of process controls engineering experience.
- Consulting and hands-on project execution experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, Word, and MS Project.
- Experience with industrial control systems, Rockwell VFDs, PLCs, HMI/SCADA systems, and communication networks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Essential Functions:
- Fieldwork required.
- Must be able to climb ladders and walk throughout large manufacturing plants.
- Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.
