Position Overview:
As a Plumbing/Fire Protection Engineer, you will be involved in a variety of challenging and meaningful projects. You will work closely with architects, other engineers, and sustainability consultants to design plumbing and fire protection systems that meet the highest standards for efficiency, functionality, and code compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Design plumbing and fire protection systems for new construction and renovation projects.

  • Perform calculations, prepare specifications, and develop construction drawings.

  • Collaborate with internal energy analysts and MEP teams to optimize sustainable system designs.

  • Conduct site surveys and field investigations.

  • Assist in construction administration, including submittal review and field inspections.

  • Stay current with industry codes, standards, and best practices.

  • Support LEED certification and other sustainability initiatives on applicable projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

  • 2+ years of plumbing/fire protection design experience in an engineering consulting environment.

  • Knowledge of relevant codes (IPC, NFPA, IBC, ASPE standards).

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; experience with system sizing software a plus.

  • EIT certification preferred; PE license or interest in obtaining it highly desirable.

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
