Facade Engineer- On-Site PM

A leading, vertically integrated façade design and manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Façade Project Manager to join their New York City office. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead high-profile building envelope projects from concept design through fabrication and on-site installation.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of creative engineering, construction execution, and project leadership, and who is ready to make a visible impact on some of the most recognized buildings in the city.

Why Join This Team?

  • Work on NYC's Architectural Icons: Collaborate with top architects and developers to shape the façade of city-defining buildings.
  • True End-to-End Delivery: From early design to field installation, you'll own and influence every stage of the process.
  • Integrated Resources: Work with in-house design, engineering, and fabrication teams, ensuring streamlined collaboration and execution.
  • Build What You Design: Oversee on-site installation and ensure that complex custom façade systems are delivered as intended.
  • Culture of Innovation and Leadership: Be part of a team where engineers and project managers are central to strategic thinking and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full façade project lifecycle, including design management, technical development, fabrication coordination, and on-site installation oversight.
  • Coordinate directly with internal teams (engineering, drafting, fabrication) and external stakeholders (architects, consultants, GC teams).
  • Provide project leadership on high-rise commercial and residential façades, including curtain walls, unitized systems, and custom panelized assemblies.
  • Oversee site progress, attend field coordination meetings, and manage timelines and quality during installation phases.
  • Conduct and coordinate performance reviews-structural, thermal, and code compliance-for all enclosure systems.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the advancement of technical and operational best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in any Engineering field (or related).
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in façade design and on-site project management, ideally on NYC-based construction projects.
  • Proven track record of managing facade system installation from the contractor or supplier side.
  • Strong knowledge of curtain walls, panel systems, rainscreens, and complex building envelopes.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard tools: AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino/Grasshopper, and structural analysis software.
  • PE license preferred; EIT required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and coordination skills; thrives in fast-paced, design-build environments.
  • A hands-on mindset and passion for delivering high-quality architecture-both in the studio and in the field.

This is your chance to take a leadership role at a firm that builds what it designs. If you're ready to manage innovative façades from concept to completion-and be on-site to see them come to life-this opportunity is for you.
