A leading environmental consultancy is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Environmental Technical Editor to join their team. A successful candidate will be responsible for editing and proofreading a variety of technical documents, reports, and publications related to environmental science, policy, and conservation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Edit and perform desktop publishing/formatting for proposals, work plans, technical reports, procedures, and presentations.

  • Proofread documents for clarity, punctuation, grammar, and content, ensuring that signatures, dates, page numbers, headers/footers, acronyms, table of contents, and content sequencing are accurate.

  • Design, create, and manage templates for reports, resumes, safety forms, presentations, covers, binders, CD labels, work plans, flow charts, and organizational charts.

  • Format text and integrate graphics and tables to produce professional layouts of final deliverables in both hard copy and electronic formats.

  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, maintaining organization and attention to detail.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of B.S./B.A. degree in Business, Marketing, Journalism, English, or work experience in a technical environment.
  • 3-6 years of experience editing and producing deliverables and/or proposals for Government agencies on the state and federal levels preferred.
  • 4+ years work experience providing editorial support to a technical/engineering group or proposal/business development division.
  • Advanced skills with MS Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Advanced skills with InDesign and Illustrator.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
