Our client is seeking a WTG Transport & Installation (T&I) Manager to join their Taipei-based team. This role will support the WTG package and EPC team, guiding projects from development through financial close and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all technical and commercial aspects of WTG transport & installation (T&I) during project development and execution.
- Lead planning, procurement, contract negotiation, and risk assessment of WTG installation contractors and suppliers.
- Ensure contractors' proposals align with project timeline, quality, and budget requirements.
- Support the permit team in securing necessary approvals from local authorities.
- Manage suppliers' and contractors' schedules to mitigate timing and interface issues.
- Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring cross-functional coordination with engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
- Work closely with HSE and quality teams to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Oversee offshore installation activities, including vessel inspections and compliance assessments.
- Optimize project costs by evaluating scope specifications and eliminating unnecessary expenses.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, with expertise in large-scale EPCI projects.
- 5+ years of experience in offshore wind, infrastructure, or EPCI projects.
- Previous experience as a T&I Manager or Lead Engineer in a WTG T&I project. Preference for Taiwan experience.
- Strong understanding of contract law (BIMCO, FIDIC, LOGIC) and supply chain management.
- Knowledge of lifting and marine operations standards.
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and remotely.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to travel offshore and to fabrication sites as needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint).
