Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Water/Wastewater Group Leader to join our team in Portland, OR. The successful candidate will lead a team of engineers and technical staff in the planning, design, and implementation of water and wastewater projects. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of engineers and technical staff in the execution of water and wastewater projects.
- Develop and maintain client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business.
- Oversee project planning, design, and implementation, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate with local and national leadership to set the vision and strategy for the water/wastewater group.
- Identify and pursue new project opportunities, making go/no-go decisions and determining pursuit staffing and teaming partners.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Prepare and present project proposals, reports, and technical documents.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources.
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in water and wastewater engineering.
- Proven experience in project management and team leadership.
- Strong technical knowledge of water and wastewater systems, including treatment processes, distribution, and collection systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
