Job Title: Water/Wastewater Engineer
Location: Oklahoma City or Tulsa
Job Summary:
A Water/Wastewater Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and managing projects related to water and wastewater treatment facilities, pipelines, and related infrastructure. This role involves conducting studies, assessments, and fieldwork to gather data and evaluate the feasibility of water and wastewater treatment projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop water and wastewater treatment facilities, pipelines, and related infrastructure.
- Conduct studies, assessments, and fieldwork to gather data and evaluate project feasibility.
- Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Perform hydraulic modeling and pipeline design.
- Provide technical support on water resource or treatment issues to government agencies.
- Develop plans for new water resources or water efficiency programs.
- Design water distribution systems for potable or nonpotable water.
- Conduct water quality studies to identify and characterize water pollutant sources.
- Write technical reports or publications related to water resources development or water use efficiency.
- Review and critique proposals, plans, or designs related to water or wastewater treatment systems.
- Provide technical direction or supervision to junior engineers and technicians.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Oklahoma.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in water and wastewater.
- Experience with industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and hydraulic modeling tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of water/wastewater treatment processes and technologies.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
