We are seeking a motivated and skilled Water Resource Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. Roles and Responsibilities
Hydrological and Hydraulic Analysis: Conduct detailed hydrological studies, watershed modeling, and floodplain analysis to develop efficient water management strategies.
Design and Planning: Design stormwater management systems, water distribution networks, flood control measures, and drainage infrastructure.
Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of water resource projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs and plans comply with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and permitting requirements.
Data Collection and Analysis: Analyze field data, topographic surveys, and GIS data to support project designs.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with clients, government agencies, and interdisciplinary teams to develop project solutions.
Software Application: Utilize industry-standard software to perform modeling, design, and analysis tasks.
Reporting and Documentation: Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and design documentation.
Sustainability Initiatives: Develop innovative approaches to manage water resources sustainably and mitigate environmental impacts.
Key Requirements
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
Professional Experience:
3+ years of experience in water resource engineering, including stormwater management, hydraulic modeling, and/or water quality assessment.
Certifications:
Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
Additional certifications in water resource management or environmental engineering are advantageous.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in hydrological and hydraulic modeling software, such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, or InfoWorks.
Experience with GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS) for spatial analysis and mapping.
Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation for design and drafting.
Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of watershed management, stormwater regulations, and environmental permitting processes.
Knowledge of climate change impacts on water resources is desirable.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects effectively.
