About the Position
As VP of Community Solar Acquisition, you'll manage third-party acquisition contracts and ensure all community solar gardens are fully subscribed. You'll develop backfill and waitlist programs, work with the VP of Revenue Operations and the Origination team on acquisition plans, and create a commercial acquisition program. This role requires strong sales skills, communication, attention to detail, high ethics, and the ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment.
You'll ensure My Client's projects are fully subscribed, compliant with regulations, well managed, and profitable. This position reports to the Head of Community Solar.
Responsibilities:
Residential Customer Responsibilities
- Third-Party Acquisition Management: Oversee contracts and management of third-party acquisition companies.
- Broker Relationship Management: Manage and contract customer brokers as needed.
- Full Subscription: Ensure all community solar gardens are fully subscribed.
- Backfill and Waitlist Program: Implement programs in coordination with Market Managers.
- Acquisition Plan Development: Collaborate on plans for new and prospective projects.
- Customer Acquisition Strategy: Develop a multi-channel strategy to maximize subscriber growth.
- Sales Process Optimization: Improve sales processes with the Digital team.
Commercial Customer Responsibilities
- Strategic Relationship Building: Build relationships with large employers, C-level clients, and other partners.
- Client Acquisition: Sign corporate partners as "anchor tenants."
- RFP Management: Handle the "anchor tenant" RFP process.
- Program Development: Expand the "community solar as a benefit" program.
- Community Engagement: Explore partnership opportunities and community involvement.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Track KPIs and report on acquisition performance.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience with a proven track record in a similar role
- Leadership in high-performing customer acquisition teams
- Expertise in customer acquisition strategies and tactics
- Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in budget management
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus
