Position Overview:
As the VDC/BIM Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful implementation and management of VDC/BIM processes and tools across various projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, specifically in plumbing, piping, and HVAC ducting, combined with field and management experience. This role offers excellent growth opportunities, with the potential to progress into Director or Operations roles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage VDC/BIM projects, ensuring adherence to company standards and client requirements.
- Develop and implement VDC/BIM strategies for mechanical systems (plumbing, piping, and HVAC).
- Collaborate closely with project teams, field staff, and clients to streamline processes and improve project efficiency.
- Oversee the creation, maintenance, and quality control of BIM models throughout project lifecycles.
- Train and mentor VDC/BIM team members, promoting continuous improvement and professional development.
- Conduct regular audits and provide feedback to ensure compliance with BIM standards.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve design and construction challenges.
- Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals, client meetings, and presentations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of field experience in mechanical systems (plumbing, piping, and HVAC ducting).
- At least 5 years of experience in VDC/BIM roles, with proven management experience.
- Strong understanding of VDC/BIM tools such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and related software.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
