Job Summary: The Transmission Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of high-voltage transmission line projects. This role involves coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing budgets and schedules, and ensuring projects meet regulatory and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the early stages of transmission line projects, including engineering, estimating, supply chain, and construction resources.
- Develop and maintain project plans with a focus on constructability, schedule, and costs.
- Coordinate project activities such as budgeting, scheduling, procurement, engineering, permitting, and land acquisition.
- Prepare Request for Proposal documentation to source, select, and contract services.
- Support construction cost estimating and deliver financial model inputs.
- Represent the company's interests in meetings with various levels of management.
- Ensure projects are ready for construction with executable plans, including schedules, budgets, permits, risks, and mitigations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in project management, engineering, or construction management.
- Proven experience managing large-scale projects (>$100MM).
- Excellent project management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and document critical communications.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with high-voltage transmission line projects.
- Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards in the energy sector.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
