Our client is a nonprofit energy provider in Ohio helping municipal utilities across several states by supplying reliable, competitively priced power from diverse sources like fossil fuels, hydro, solar, and wind.
This role offers the possibility of a hybrid work setup (a mix of remote work and in-office presence), depending on coordination and approval from the supervisor. The position is based in Columbus, OH.
Reports To: Transmission Project Management Director
Responsibilities:
- Oversee transmission construction projects across the organization's service areas, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with teams in planning, engineering, operations, and project management to develop, implement, and maintain transmission assets.
- Ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective project planning, execution, monitoring, and completion.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Construction Management, or a related field is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- At least 3 years of construction project management experience is required; 5 years is preferred.
- Must be detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) are essential, with the ability to solve problems creatively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint is required.
- Experience with project management software is preferred.
- Must be willing to travel to project sites as needed.
