Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and analysis of transmission line projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.
- Conduct thorough feasibility studies, site assessments, and route selection for new transmission line installations.
- Utilize advanced software tools to model and simulate transmission systems, evaluating performance, reliability, and efficiency.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams, supporting the development of innovative solutions and resolving complex engineering issues.
- Collaborate closely with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to facilitate project approvals and permits.
- Review and evaluate construction plans, specifications, and materials to ensure quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct site visits and inspections as needed to monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in transmission line engineering, with a focus on design, analysis, and project management.
- Proficiency in CAD software, PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, and other relevant engineering tools.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards (e.g., IEEE, NESC, IEC) and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proven track record of successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Professional engineering license (PE) preferred.
