Job Title: Transmission Civil Engineer
Salary: $90,000-$150,000
Summary: A Texas-based consulting company is looking for a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual with a knack for creative transmission line project design. This role involves planning and designing transmission projects within the Transmission division. Ideal candidates will have at least 4 years of experience in Civil Engineering specifically in transmission for the power industry. Those with 8 or more years may be considered for a Senior Transmission Design Engineer role.
The Transmission Civil Engineer will be responsible forโฆ
* Plans and designs electric transmission lines, analyzing existing ones for upgrades.
* Designs foundations for projects, recommends parameters.
* Researches new technologies and methods.
* Drafts and finalizes construction documents.
* Provides technical support during construction.
* Develops and maintains standards and specifications.
* Establishes design processes and procedures.
* Offers budget estimates and evaluates project feasibility.
The Transmission Civil Engineer should have the following qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
* 4-7 years of experience in Transmission design
* Familiarity with PLS-Caisson, PLS-Pole, PLS-CADD, LPile and FAD Tools
