Traffic/ITS Project Engineer - Raleigh, NC
LVI Associates is currently partnered with one of the leading regional firms in the North Carolina transportation market. With 6 offices spread throughout the state and a strong backlog with NCDOT and surrounding local municipalities they are looking to expand their traffic team by bringing on a Traffic/ITS Project Engineer to either the Raleigh or Hillsborough office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist and Lead in development of traffic signal designs, ITS, and broadband fiber designs
- Assist on NCDOT & local municipality projects
- Thorough understanding of of NCDOT traffic signal design standards and MUTCD protocols
- Interact with clients and public agencies
Necessary Background & Skills:
- BS in Civil Engineering
- 5+ years experience in transportation design
- Proficiency in MicroStation, OpenRoads, Geopak, Corridor Modeling
- PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months
- NCDOT design experience (VDOT also highly desirable)
