LVI Associates is currently partnering with a 100% employee owned regional firm headquartered in Atlanta, GA looking to bring on a Traffic Project Manager to the team here in Atlanta. The firm is in growth mode with an equally expanding backlog, eager to continue building out their transportation team.
Project Management Responsibilities:
- Take charge of managing the project's scope, timeline, budget, and client expectations to ensure everything stays on track.
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, and design teams to meet project needs and resolve any issues.
- Handle the preparation of monthly invoices and progress reports, keeping both internal and external stakeholders informed.
- Ensure a consistent and effective workload for staff by managing a healthy project backlog.
Relationship Building:
- Proactively identify and pursue business opportunities by networking with existing and potential clients.
- Build and maintain strong, mutually beneficial relationships with consultants to enhance project collaboration.
- Develop detailed proposals that outline project scope, timeline, labor, and fees, while negotiating terms with clients and coordinating with sub-consultants.
- Actively participate in industry events and conferences, and contribute to professional organizations.
- Engage with clients through events, committees, and site visits
Staff Development & Mentorship:
- Work closely with managers to help assess the performance of junior staff, contributing to annual reviews and setting clear growth targets.
- Provide valuable input regarding compensation and career advancement for team members.
- Take an active role in mentoring junior staff, offering guidance and support as they grow professionally.
- Keep the team informed about the latest industry trends, design innovations, and regulatory changes through continuous training and development.
Key Qualifications:
- PE license required (PTOE preferred)
- BS in Civil Engineering
- Previous project management experience
- Experience working on GDOT & federally funded projects
- Proficient in MicroStation, OpenRoads, InRoads, Synchro, Vissim
- 5+ years minimum experience in traffic engineering
