Qualifications:
- PE in Virginia
- PTOE Preferred
- 10 years of traffic experience
- Project Management and business development experience
Responsibilities:
- Oversee or lead the production of finalized traffic analyses/studies, traffic engineering reports, traffic signal warrant analyses, traffic signal justification reports (SJRs), operational and safety analysis reports (OSARs), interchange access reports (IARs), corridor studies, signal timing studies, clearance interval calculations, left-turn phasing evaluations, access management studies/exception requests, and transportation plans.
- Organize, schedule, delegate tasks, execute, or coordinate detailed stages of engineering activities within significant projects or as the primary point person for projects of moderate to intricate complexity.
- Ensure timely project completion according to defined deadlines while upholding specific project quality standards.
- Provide supervision and guidance to traffic/design engineers
- Formulate and oversee project scopes, pricing, schedules, and budgets. Monitor accounts receivable, manpower needs, and prepare invoices.
- Supervise all technical resources within the project team. Collaborate with Section Heads and Office Managers in crafting marketing proposals.
- Possess familiarity with design blueprints for traffic signals, signage, lighting, pavement markings, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), maintenance of traffic, and/or pavement and rehabilitation projects.
- Develop or aid in the creation of Project Management Plans for designated projects.
- Supervise subconsultants. Assist Section Heads in formulating extra work order requests and proposals for open-end contract tasks.
- Participate in client meetings, including delivering presentations if necessary.
