Seeking a motivated Traffic Design Engineer in Salt Lake City for a regional Civil Engineering client based out of California. While this opportunity can function remotely, candidates must have permanent residence in Utah.

Responsibilities:
- Lead/produce highway and traffic design tasks - in the following traffic sub-disciplines - for transportation projects through coordination with multi-disciplinary design teams
- Design and develop traffic signal timing plans to optimize signal operations and minimize congestion.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to create innovative designs for roadways, intersections, and traffic control systems.
- Review and approve traffic impact studies for new development projects to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Registered as a Professional Engineer
- 4+ years of experience in traffic design, transportation planning, or related areas.
- Proficiency in traffic engineering software and tools (e.g., Synchro, VISSIM, AutoCAD).
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex traffic data.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote team setting.
- Familiarity with Utah's traffic regulations and guidelines is a plus.
