Seeking an experienced leader to oversee electric operations, drive strategic initiatives, and ensure safe, efficient, and reliable service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and implement strategic direction, budget strategies, and operational policies.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and efficiency.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate all transmission, distribution, construction, maintenance, and operations activities.
- Manage and lead a team, including line construction crews, substation personnel, and office support staff.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and financial management for the department.
- Analyze system load growth and develop long-term operational strategies.
- Review and enhance construction standards, job methods, and equipment utilization.
- Provide guidance on electric rate development and infrastructure planning.
- Prepare reports for regulatory agencies and executive leadership.
- Lead training and safety initiatives in collaboration with safety management teams.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in electric operations with progressively advanced leadership roles, preferably in utilities or the public sector.
