Position Overview: Seeking a highly experienced Senior CEI (Construction Engineering and Inspection) Lead to oversee and manage construction projects in Austin or San Antonio, TX. This role includes significant business development responsibilities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while also driving growth and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Lead and manage CEI activities for construction projects, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and standards.
- Inspection Coordination: Coordinate and perform inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure quality control.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of inspectors and engineers, providing guidance and support.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed project records, including daily reports, inspection logs, and correspondence.
- Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve construction-related issues promptly.
- Client Interaction: Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders, addressing any project-related questions or concerns.
- Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to safety regulations and industry standards.
- Reporting: Prepare and present project status reports to clients and management.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop proposals, and participate in client presentations.
- Client Engagement: Foster and maintain long-term client relationships to secure repeat business and referrals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in construction engineering and inspection.
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, materials, and methods.
- Proven experience in business development and client relationship management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
