My client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead several large-scale distribution and transmission projects from estimate handoff to financial closeout. This role is pivotal in ensuring the financial health and successful completion of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage project budgets, ensuring costs align with financial targets.
Continuously monitor project progress, making necessary adjustments to stay on course.
Provide regular updates to stakeholders, detailing strategies, progress, and any adjustments.
Measure project performance to identify areas of improvement.
Define project scope and objectives, ensuring clear goals.
Prepare and manage budgets based on the scope of work and resource requirements.
Accurately forecast resource needs and manage them efficiently.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and work plans.
Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely deliverables.
Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout project execution.
Identify, compile, and manage change orders from inception through approval.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in construction engineering, business, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory with substantial field management experience in electrical construction.
Minimum of 7 years of project management and related experience.
Proven experience in managing projects through the entire life cycle.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems creatively.
Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
Exceptional analytical skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a high degree of resourcefulness.
