As a pivotal leader in their surveying division, you'll spearhead and oversee surveying initiatives, ensuring seamless integration of ORD technology and adherence to DOT standards.

Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Execution: Lead and manage surveying projects within the realm of DOT initiatives, overseeing project scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
- Open Roads Designer Expertise: Utilize advanced proficiency in ORD software to conceptualize, plan, and execute surveying aspects of transportation projects, ensuring alignment with DOT standards and specifications.
- Team Leadership and Coordination: Direct and coordinate surveying teams, engineers, and stakeholders, orchestrating the integration of ORD technology, survey data, and project requirements.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Enforce stringent quality control measures to verify the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of survey data, designs, and deliverables with DOT regulations and project guidelines.
- Technical Guidance: Provide expert guidance and support in utilizing ORD technology, troubleshooting technical challenges, and optimizing workflows to enhance project efficiency.
- Stakeholder Management: Foster effective communication channels with DOT officials, clients, and project stakeholders, ensuring seamless alignment with project goals and addressing concerns proactively.
- Reporting and Documentation: Generate comprehensive project documentation, progress reports, and presentations to communicate project status, milestones, and any potential risks or issues.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Survey Tech
- Extensive experience in surveying project management, specifically within DOT projects.
- Proficiency in Open Roads Designer (ORD) software and other relevant surveying and design tools.
- Thorough knowledge of DOT regulations, standards, and procedures related to transportation infrastructure projects.
- Exceptional leadership abilities, enabling effective management and coordination of multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work within project constraints.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license preferred but not required.
- Previous hands-on experience working on complex DOT projects involving Open Roads Designer.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools for efficient project tracking and reporting.
