- Oversees construction and maintenance crews involved in distribution and transmission substation activities.
- Clearly communicates expectations and provides continuous feedback on employee performance, effectively addressing any issues.
- Conducts thorough performance reviews in accordance with applicable bargaining unit contracts. Ensures proper application of local union contracts and agreements, collaborating with managers and employees to resolve grievances promptly.
- Coordinates the maintenance and construction of designated assets, arranging staffing, materials, and equipment in collaboration with various departments and contractors based on prescribed schedules and methods.
- Assumes responsibility for the reliability and condition of substation assets.
The Supervisor of Technical Services should have...
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field (Associates degrees will be accepted 10+ years experience).
- 5-10+ years in Electric Utility experience.
- Experience with the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers, switches, instrument transformers, metering equipment, voltage regulation and power quality.
- Prior experience supervising union employees is preferred.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
