Summary:
Our client, a prominent engineering firm specializing in Transmission, Substation, and Distribution systems for electric utilities, is looking to expand their Substation Engineering team. Renowned for providing high-quality and cost-effective solutions, the company has a team of experienced professionals with extensive expertise in engineering and design within these critical fields. They are dedicated to innovation, precision, and customer satisfaction, ensuring robust infrastructure and reliable service in the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop physical designs and layouts for major high-voltage substation equipment.
- Conduct calculations, including short circuit analysis, voltage drop, and circuit ampacities.
- Create and refine single line and schematic diagrams.
- Analyze grounding and lightning protection systems.
- Perform conduit and tray fill calculations.
- Prepare and specify materials.
- Oversee project budgets and schedules.
- Collaborate with designers and drafters to ensure accurate and efficient drawing development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant substation engineering experience.
- Professional Engineering License preferred, or ability to take the exam within 6 months.
- Proficient in electrical engineering theories, practices, and standard procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience with Auto CAD and Micro Station is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
