Job Title: Structural Transmission Line Engineer

Summary: My client is a leading engineering firm specializing in transmission and distribution infrastructure. Its team provides innovative, high-quality solutions for utility clients, with expertise in transmission line engineering, structural analysis, and foundation design. My client is looking for a Transmission Line Engineer to work *remotely* to lead structural design and analysis for transmission line structures. This role involves working with PLS-TOWER, reviewing engineering designs, mentoring engineers, and coordinating with clients.
Responsibilities:
- Perform PLS-TOWER modeling and analysis of transmission structures
- Design lattice towers, steel poles, and foundations
- Lead PLS-CADD modeling and sag/tension analysis
- Oversee construction package development and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Act as Engineer of Record on consulting projects
- Mentor and supervise engineering teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- PE license
- 10+ years in transmission line structural design
- Expertise in PLS-TOWER, PLS-CADD, and structural analysis
- Strong understanding of sag/tension concepts and structure loads
- Experience managing technical teams (preferred).
