My client is looking for a full-time, mid/senior-level Structural Engineer to join their team. This role involves designing structures, structural elements, and systems for a variety of project types, including manufacturing, distribution, data centers, commercial, historical, public sector, adaptive reuse, and renovations.
My client is a rapidly growing structural engineering consulting firm with a 60-year track record in niche markets. Recognized as a top firm to work for 8 consecutive years, they have multiple offices across the Southeast. Their projects range from site inspections to the design of new facilities, covering feasibility studies, conceptual design, detailed design, and construction administration. Collectively, their offices create a powerhouse of engineering expertise.
Responsibilities:
Analyze existing structures
Develop drawings and specifications for construction compliance
Interact with senior engineers and design technicians
Attend client, architect, and contractor meetings
Engage with potential clients to expand business relationships
Perform calculations per design specifications and industry standards
Utilize structural design software (e.g., TEKLA, RAM, ETABS, SAFE, SAP, RAM Elements, RISA)
Create and review drawings, submittals, and structural documents
Ensure deliverables meet client expectations and quality standards
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, Master's preferred
PE licensure required; SE licensure is a plus
8+ years of experience in engineering design with a successful track record
3+ years of business development or client management experience
Skills & Competencies:
Strong communication skills
Self-starter with minimal supervision needed
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
